Bright blue, ruffled,  4-cm (1½”) flowers bloom late spring and well into fall, in the garden or in containers. Grows to 30-90 cm (1-3′). Excellent as cut flowers, as dried flowers or potpourri – and as a colourful addition to any salad. Also known as Blue Cornflower or Mountain Bluet.

White mold, rust, downy and powdery mildew, thread blight, and Southern blight can occur.

Timing
Sow directly in the garden as soon as possible after the last frost date in your area, or sow indoors 4-6 weeks before planting them in the garden. Successive plantings will prolong blooming period.

Growing
Pinch the growing tips to allow the plant to branch out. Pluck dry or dead flowers off before they seed.
